Science on Screen: RUSHMORE with guest speaker Steven Schlozman, MD
January 28, 2013
At this latest installment of the Coolidge Corner Theatre's Science on Screen series, Steven Schlozman, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, plumbs the mysteries of the adolescent brain and mind before a screening of director Wes Anderson's offbeat coming-of-age tale, RUSHMORE. Jason Schwartzman stars as eccentric tenth grader Max Fischer, Rushmore Academy's most extracurricular and least scholarly student. Max's world turns topsy-turvy when he's put on academic probation and falls madly in love with a first-grade teacher (Olivia Williams), only to end up vying with a millionaire industrialist (Bill Murray) for her affections.
