January 19th “A Single Petal of a Rose is within the Warm Winter Café”  -- This very Romantic program will melt away your “Winter Blues”!  Featuring celebrated classical guitarist Berit Strong and vocalist Melissa Anne Babb.
 
Berit Strong (www.beritstrong.com) is an award-winning international performer of classical guitar repertoire ranging from renaissance through contemporary, including world premiers. Reviewers consistently praise her ability to communicate musically with her audience by playing with emotional intensity, musical artistry and virtuoso technique. On this program she will perform Café 1930, Sambossa, and Tarantella.
 
The program will also include music of Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, Aaron Copland and others, and feature performances by Linda May Menkis, Peter Norton, Arthur Magazu, Kevin Murphy, Rob Hammerton, and Barbara Weiblen. The concert is at 7pm on Saturday, January 19 at Sudbury United Methodist Church in Sudbury (snow date January 20 at 3pm). Free admission (donations welcome).
