    Salem Theatre Company presents Conor McPherson’s Shining City, for 15 performances from January 24 – February 16. Shining City is set in Dublin where John, a guilt-ridden man (played by Stephen) reaches out to a therapist after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. Wrestling with his own demons, the therapist (played by Joseph O’Meara) can only do so much to help. Routine visits between the two men quickly become a gripping struggle to survive, changing both of them for the rest of their lives. Shining City has been called “a thoughtful, artful, absorbing new drama…" from “the finest dramatist of his generation."

    The Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25 performances are previews with a “Name your Own Ticket Price” at the door. You may also ensure seating for the two preview performances by buying tickets for $10 online at

    Tickets for regular performances (January 26-February 16) are $10 for Students, $20 for Seniors (60+) and $25 for Adults and will be available online at on January 1.
