    Biber, the Rhapsodic Bohemian

Brrrr, it's cold out there! Come warm up with more delights from Season Six as Cambridge Concentus reveals the multi-faceted (and famously "mysterious") music of seventeenth-century Bohemian master Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber. On Sunday, February 17, at 3 PM at First Church in Cambridge, Congregational - Cambridge Concentus performs a program featuring Biber's virtuosic works for violins in unusual tunings, duos for natural trumpet, and an aria from his only extant opera Arminio, in an American premiere by bass Jacob Cooper. Additionally, for the first time ever, our program will feature Baroque dance by the renowned Carlos Fittante.
