(Some of) The Best Films of 2012

2012 was a great year for movies and so, as usual, we take a moment to look back at some of the highlights. From charming indies with youthful stars (BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD and MOONRISE KINGDOM), to blockbuster superhero epics (THE AVENGERS and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES), to intimate foreign films (THE DAY HE ARRIVES and OSLO, AUGUST 31ST), and revealing documentaries (HOW TO SURVIVE A PLAGUE, THIS IS NOT A FILM), 2012 has shown us a great range of cinematic realities. In case you missed them, or if you want to experience them again, please join us for this special look back at the year in film.

Many of the films in the series will be introduced by members of the Boston Society of Film Critics and the Boston Online Film Critics Association. Please see listings below for more information.
