     Friends, family, colleagues, former students, other alumni, and the public are invited to a memorial tribute honoring the life and artistry of pianist Jacob Maxin. Once described as "the greatest of unknown pianists," Maxin served on the NEC faculty from 1968 to 2002.He was particularly remembered for his performances of Busoni's extraordinarily difficult Fantasia contrapuntistica.
