17th Century Lute Recital - Catherine Liddell

Catherine Liddell, who is known for her sensitivity and skill in performing on the lute and therobo, will present a lute recital entitled "Liselotte: A Musical Portrait of a 17th Century Lady." The program will musically follow the life of Liselotte von der Pfalz, who became Elisabeth Charlotte, Duchess d'Orleans, the wife of Louis XIV's younger brother. Between the sets, Ms. Liddell will read short excerpts from Liselotte's letters. Ms. Liddell, a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, is Lecturer in Lute in the Historical Performance Program at Boston University.
