Ray Vega's NY Quintet at Vermont Jazz Center

Vega is a living legend amongst both Latin Jazz aficionados and straight-ahead jazzers as well. His fiery soloing, spot-on rhythmic accuracy and passionate drive have earned him positions in the groups of Latin Music's arena of demigods: Ray Barretto, Mongo Santamaria, and Mario Bauza. It was Ray Vega who played lead trumpet in three of Tito Puente's Latin Orchestra's Grammy-award winning recordings.
