 William Drury, Associate Conductor of Wind Ensembles, and Capt. David Alpar and Major Matt Henry conduct this early evening of works that features the ensembles they lead, NEC Symphonic Winds and the U.S. Air Force Band of Liberty, respectively.

The appearance by the Band of Liberty is one of the last by this Air Force ensemble before it is disbanded this spring as the result of budget cuts. One of numerous Air Force bands around the country, it has been based at Hanscom Air Force base. It will be reincorporated into the music program at Langley AF Base in Virginia. Founded in 1978, its last performance is March 10 at Worcester's Mechanics Hall.
