    Author Helen Marie Casey at The College Club

    Helen Marie Casey on Florence Armes Hosmer (1880 - 1978), who was once one of Boston's premier portrait painters.  In her biography "My Dear Girl" (2011), Ms. Casey relates the absorbing tale of the farmer's daughter who became one of the most successful female artists in the country and whose considerable contributions have all but disappeared from view.
