Art BINGO 2013
April 20, 2013
Looking to start an art collection with pieces from talented established and emerging artists? Want to add some new works to your existing collection? Join us for the second annual Art Bingo—The Art Connection’s signature event where participants play bingo to win original works of fine art.
Art Bingo will be held at The Benjamin Franklin Institute, 41 Berkeley Street, in Boston’s South End from 7:30 to 11 PM on Saturday, April 20.
There will be 12 bingo games over the course of the evening, each played for a specific work of art. To increase your chance of taking home the artwork(s) of your choice, you can play one bingo card, ten cards, or as many as you want, in as many games as you wish. Artwork will be selected specifically for our event by notable jurors Leonie Bradbury, Director and Curator of Montserrat College of Art Galleries, and Carolyn Muskat, Tamarind Master Printmaker and arts educator.
Our Master of Ceremonies, Robert Lewis, Jr., Vice President for Programs at The Boston Foundation, and several special bingo callers will add to the fun and keep everyone on their toes. There will also be a silent auction of 20 premium items and a complimentary gourmet dessert buffet. Beer, wine, and soda will be available for purchase.
Tickets for Art Bingo are available online now at http://www.artbingo.eventbrite.com/
Admission is $25 in advance and $35 at the door. You can purchase bingo cards in advance for the special price of $100 for 12. Otherwise, cards will be $10 each the night of the event.
The Art Connection is also seeking Corporate Sponsors ($1,000 donation), Nonprofit Sponsors ($500), and Individual Sponsors ($500 and $250), as well as in-kind donations of food, beverages, and silent auction items. Advertising space in our 4-color keepsake program is also available.
All proceeds from Art Bingo will support The Art Connection, a Boston-based non-profit stimulating dialogue, creativity, learning, and healing by expanding access to the power of original art. We enable social service agencies to select and own artwork that has been donated for that purpose by artists and collectors.
In our 17 years of bringing art to life, we have celebrated the placement over 5,760 original works of art from more 360 donors in over 320 agencies throughout the Boston area—enriching and empowering those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the transformative possibilities of art in their lives.
