ArtsEmerson the World on Stage presents: Blue Steel

One of director Kathryn Bigelow’s early films, Blue Steel explores the physical and psychological struggles of a female cop with an obsessed serial killer. When Megan Turner (Jamie Lee Curtis) shoots an armed burglar at the scene of a crime, someone successfully confiscates the assailant’s gun and carves Turner’s name into the bullets. When those bullets end up being used in a series of murders, Turner is drawn into a complex, tightly strung web of lies and deceit in this tension-filled, gripping psychological thriller.
