THE ART OF ADORNMENT
March 16-March 30, 2013
Reception: Saturday, March 16, from 3-5pm
The Polymer and Beading Guild is pleased to announce the opening of their newest exhibit "The Art of Adornment." This new exhibit explores one of the most basic of human desires: to define and express one's uniqueness by adorning the body. Inspiration from the human form and a celebration of the age-old muse, adorning the human form, fuel the vision of this exhibit. The members of the Guild have created art that either theoretically or literally may be worn. This mix of objects ranges from polymer and beaded jewelry to textiles and beyond .
The Reception will take place on opening day, Saturday March 16, from 3-5pm.
The Guild also encourages visitors to drop by to observe live demonstrations of "Bead Weaving" and "Polymer Claying" in the Plummer Studio from noon – 3pm on Sunday March 17.
Gallery Hours: Tuesday-Friday & Sunday 11-4; Saturday 10-4
