    Handmade for the Homeless

Inspired by Mary Baker Eddy’s legacy of philanthropic giving, we warmly invite you to join us as we knit and crochet items for our homeless neighbors in need.

Our group meets on the first Sunday of every month, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Library.

Please feel free to make any item (hat, scarf, blanket, socks, mittens, etc.), size infant to adult, in any yarn of your pleasing. All skill levels are welcome. If you are...

If you are meeting us in Boston, yarn will be available. If you are working remotely, we welcome your contributions at anytime. Your generous donations will support our neighbors at The Home for Little Wanderers, Friends of Boston's Homeless, and On The Rise.

Your donations will support the following organizations:

The Home for Little Wanderers ensures the healthy behavioral, emotional, social and educational development and physical well-being of children and families living in at-risk circumstances. The Home's work is guided by a belief in the right of all children to be safe, nurtured and developed to reach their full potential.

Friends of Boston’s Homeless develop and support innovative, solution-oriented programs to help the homeless move beyond shelter and back into the community as independent citizens. In addition, through advocacy and education, Friends seeks to increase the public’s awareness and understanding of the realities of homelessness.

On The Rise creates a community where women have the relationships, safety, and resources they need to move out of homelessness. We engage with those most in need and support their initiative and strength as they move beyond crisis and discover new possibilities.
