The GarageDogs arrived in Boston in 1996, and dominated the local punk scene with critically acclaimed albums. The band moved to L.A. for a four-year residency in the underground scene, and returned to Boston in 2005 to release their masterpiece, the Paul Q. Kolderie produced "Withdrawl."
The brothers have also worked with an amazing group of collaborators including: Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes), Mike Watt (Minutemen), Raymond Pettibon (Black Flag), Legs McNeil ("Please Kill Me"), Rick Berlin (The Nickel and Dime Band), Danny Fields (Ramones), Jack Pierson, Lili Taylor, John Cameron Mitchell, and Ryan Landry. The GarageDog shows are always historic.
"Scream Along with Billy" is the brainchild of Billy Hough (GarageDogs/ Gold Dust Orphans) and Susan Goldberg (Space Pussy). The duo formed in Provincetown in the summer of 2006, when the GargeDogs went on a break. Since then, they have sold out shows in Provincetown and New York on a regular basis, and released a live album that Rock guru Robert Christgau out on a shortlist with Tom Waits and Bob Dylan. Their newly released album "Venice" has a rare 5-star rating on iTunes.
