The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), will welcome the spring season with its 37th annual festival of flowers, Art in Bloom, hosted by the MFA Associates. Garden clubs and professional floral designers will transform the galleries throughout the Museum with over 50 displays inspired by works of art. Special events will include an illustrated lecture, floral demonstration, and elegant tea as well as flower arranging master classes—presented by Shane Connolly, the heralded British floral designer and author. Connolly, who received worldwide acclaim for the elegant and inspired floral décor he created for the 2011 royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, is widely recognized for his innovative use of local and seasonal flowers as well as live plants, shrubs, and trees.

Art in Bloom is free with Museum admission, no reservations required. Museum admission is free for MFA members.

Hands-on floral arranging with one of Britain’s most renowned floral designers. Tickets are $200.

Shane Connolly Master Class II (advanced)
Sunday, April 28, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Hands-on floral arranging for advanced students with one of Britain’s most renowned floral designers. Tickets are $200.

Shane Connolly: A Year in Flowers
Monday, April 29, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Experience a floral demonstration and lecture by Shane Connolly, followed by a book signing. Tickets are $55.

Elegant Tea in the William I. Koch Gallery
12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily
Reservations required.
Adult tickets: $30, children under 12 and under: $10
