    Paa Seck Diery was born into a West African griot family in Kaolack, Senegal. He grew up performing with his father’s music troupe, Vieux Group Diery. As a young boy, Paa opened many shows as a solo drummer.

    After moving to Dakar and joining his Brother Babacar Seck and his Uncle Bakane Seck, Paa Seck Diery
    was already known by local pop musicians as an exceptionally talented Sabar drummer.

    Paa Seck Diery is now based in Boston, MA. Here he has opened for Ziggy Marley with Brother Leon
    and he also plays with Lamine Toure. Currently leading the Paa Seck Diery Band as lead vocalist, drummer and composer, Paa is performing, writing, and promoting the band’s first full length CD, Santa Yalah.
