Cellist Severine Ballon plays new music by Harvard Composers

Acclaimed contemporary cellist Séverine Ballon will play five works by members of the Harvard Group for New Music. All concerts are free and open to the public, and are followed by a reception with food and drink. The pieces featured on this program are by Edgar Barroso (b. 1977, Mexico), Timothy McCormack (b. 1984, Ohio), Marek Poliks (b. 1989, New York), Stefan Prins (b. 1979, Belgium), and Zach Sheets (b. 1991, Vermont). Séverine Ballon studied cello at the Hochschulen für Musik in Berlin. Séverine Ballon has been a prize-winner of the 2004 international contemporary music performance competition Gioia del Colle (Italy) and of the Marie-Luise Imbusch Foundation.
