Fred Small "Everything Possible" Concert
May 17, 2013
Named by Pete Seeger as one of America’s best songwriters, Fred Small sings songs of conscience in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, Phil Ochs, and Tom Paxton. Powerful, affecting and inviting, Fred’s songs illuminate the goodness and courage of all kinds of people. Sharing the message of love, unity, and respect for others and the environment, people are lifted and moved by his words and music.
After successful careers as an environmental lawyer, and a journeyman folk singer, Fred found his way to the Harvard Divinity School and subsequently to Unitarian Universalist ministry. His ministry and special gifts as musician and wordsmith have been a blessing to our congregation, and we would love to share the wealth with all who would enjoy an evening of spirited song and fellowship.
Fred will be accompanied by The Flying Seeds, a wonderful duo singing songs of love and nature with a Peruvian flavor. Check out their sounds on their website: http://theflyingseeds.com
All proceeds from the concert will go to the "Beloved Community Fund" in service of diversity and accessibility at First Parish and in the surrounding community.
