    On Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 8:00 pm, Homegrown Coffeehouse Presents JOE CROOKSTON It's possible you've never heard of him. Trust us ~ You'll be more than glad you came to this show. Joe Crookston lives in Ithaca, NY~ tours regularly in the US, Ireland and Canada. He was awarded the "Album of the Year" by the International Folk Alliance, and received a year-long songwriting grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. He was recently signed to Tamulevich Artists Management along with fellow songwriters John Gorka, Red Horse and Peter Yarrow. "This is not reviewers hype... this guy is flat out good," Rodger Nichols of The Dalles Oregon Chronicle From the first strum of his 1948 Gibson, through stories of Polish farmers, milkwood poetry, Tinian Island, Dylan Thomas, Taoist parables, ex slaves and drunken roosters you'll be drawn in and deeply moved by his music and stories.
