Commemorate the 116th Boston Marathon and hear the first woman to run Boston, Bobbi Gibb, tell her history-making, awe-inspiring story. After submitting an application to participate in 1966, the Boston Athletic Association director replied. stating that women are "...not physiologically capable of running marathon distances and that under the rules that govern international sports, women are not allowed to run."
The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a cash-bar reception and buffet dinner. Featured speaker Bobbi Gibb will be introduced at 7:00. The evening concludes with dessert and coffee. Reservations are required.
