The Choral Art Society of the South Shore, now in its 54th season, will present its spring concert, Johannes Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem and Edvard Grieg's Holberg Suite (for strings) at 7:30pm, on Saturday, May 11, at Scituate High School auditorium, 606 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate MA. Danica A. Buckley is the artistic director and conductor of the chorus; Sarah Haera Tocco is the accompanist. The chorus will be accompanied by the Choral Art Society Chamber Orchestra. Soloists are Dana Schnitzer, soprano and Ron Williams, baritone. Proceeds from each concert help fund our $1000 William T. Adams Memorial Scholarship, awarded each year to a high school senior from the South Shore who is going to college to major in music. We will announce this year's scholarship winner at the concert. The chorus also sings at nursing homes and for a hospice remembrance service each year. Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 seniors and students - available online at www.choralartsociety.org. They are also available at Buttonwood Books, Cohasset; Sunshine Pet Parlor, Hull; and at The Front Street Bookshop, Scituate. Tickets will also be available at the door, but get there early!
