    April School Vacation Week Activities: Stories Spring Alive!

    PROGRAM
    Bring your family to the Gardner Museum for special activities each day Wednesday, April 17 through Friday, April 19. Activities run from 11 am to 4 pm unless otherwise noted.

    WEDNESDAY ONLY! Award-winning storyteller, author, playwright and Artist-in-Residence Gcina Mhlophe returns to the Gardner Museum for two...

    Bring your family to the Gardner Museum for special activities each day Wednesday, April 17 through Friday, April 19. Activities run from 11 am to 4 pm unless otherwise noted.

    South African Storytelling | 11:30 am / 2 pm
    WEDNESDAY ONLY! Award-winning storyteller, author, playwright and Artist-in-Residence Gcina Mhlophe returns to the Gardner Museum for two spellbinding performances in Calderwood Hall. Mhlophe captivates audiences of all ages with stimulating short stories, poetry and musical performances on Wednesday, April 17, at 11:30 am and 2 pm.

    Mythical Beast Marionette
    Stop by the Education Studio to make your own Mythical Beast Marionette moving puppet theater from recycled cake boxes. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

    Accordion Bookmaking
    Make your way to the Greenhouse Classroom to create an accordion book with beautiful origami paper.

    Create a Comic Strip
    Take a seat by the Courtyard to observe and draw flowers, plants and architectural designs. Then create your own Courtyard-inspired comic strip characters.

    Hidden Animals & Creatures Gallery Hunt
    Discover dragons, winged lions, slithering snakes and other animal creatures in paintings and sculptures in the Museum’s collection.

    Parking: Paid parking is available at the Museum of Fine Arts garage or lot on Museum Road, two blocks from the Gardner. Metered street parking is also available.
