WAX POETIC - Works by Jennifer Toler
Presented by Pat Marshall Link Art Gallery, Pine Grove School
April 26, 2013
Wax Poetic Art Exibit by North Shore artist Jennifer Toler. Wax Poetic is a collection of mixed media work created in the medium of Collage and Encaustic Wax. Jennifer Toler’s work integrates drawing, painting, writing, and photography. She uses symbolic images that remind us of values we once held dear, while giving the viewer a sense that these things could be slipping from our grasp. In addition to rich landscapes, her most recent work deals with the unsettling events that have threatened our world. Through her beautiful imagery, she asks questions in pieces titled: "What is Shelter?", "Guidance and Faith (Slipping from our grasp?)", and "What Once Was". As a whole, this show is a tribute to our home and family, to our communities and country and reminds us to appreciate and protect all that we have.
