The Lindsey Buckingham Appreciation Society
September 19, 2013
The musical pop-up store that is The Lindsey Buckingham Appreciation Society is re-opening to perform Fleetwood Mac’s landmark 1979 album and Lindsey Buckingham’s enduring creative statement ‘Tusk’ in its entirety. The band - featuring members of The War on Drugs, Papas Fritas, Pernice Brothers, Buried Beds, Nightlands, and Danielson - first performed ‘Tusk’ in May 2010 at shows in Boston, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. A slightly altered TLBAS lineup tackled the 1982 follow-up ‘Mirage’ (along with various other Mac and solo Buckingham classics) in February 2012 at shows in Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Each of the five shows were joyous gigs that pleased both the old heads in faded Buckingham-Nicks bootleg tees and young'uns probably conceived while ‘Rumours’ spun in the background.
