Sarah & the Tall Boys from Nashville
June 3, 2013
Specializing in original country/blues, Sarah & The Tall Boys is a Americana band that has been selling out venues across the country. After many years of calling Chicago their home, they set their the sites to make new roots in Nashville ( which is fitting for a powerhouse vocalist such as Sarah). For those just discovering Sarah and the Tall Boys for the first time, you are in for a real treat. They seamlessly intertwine blues, bluegrass, alternative country, and Americana, resulting in a dynamic sound that is truly their own. Fronted by lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and lyricist, Sarah Potenza-Crossman, the band includes Ian Crossman (bass), Alex Bachari (lead guitar) and Jason Smart (drums). Potenza-Crossman was featured on “Acoustic Chicago”, a compilation of the best singer/songwriters in the windy city. Today, with a powerful collection of original songs, Sarah and the Tall Boys continues to draw attention. This past year, they have been working on fresh tunes, and planning to record a new album this winter in Nashville. They continue to push their music, redefining their sound with a more raw, low-down & gritty edge. Add the bigger than life soulful vocals of Potenza to the mix and you have an evening that will not disappoint.
