May 10, 2013 (FRANKLIN, TN) - The 2012 winners of the WAMMIE Award (Washington Area Music Awards) for Best Bluegrass Group and 2012 IBMA Nominee for Emerging Artist of the Year, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, bring their awe-inspiring picking and engaging music to Montpelier's Club Passim on Sunday, June 2nd to celebrate the recent release of their new album on Compass Records titled On The Edge.

With its debut at #10 on the Billboard Bluegrass Chart, On The Edge is breaking new ground for this stellar band. They've been called a "modern day Newgrass Revival" and Country Standard Time After six years performing with the United States Navy’s elite Country Current, Frank Solivan formed Dirty Kitchen, a tight knit group of top notch musicians.

FS&DK are one of the hottest, most sought after bluegrass bands on today's scene. The band consists of Frank Solivan (mandolin/vocals), Mike Munford (banjo), Danny Booth (bass), and Chris Luquette (guitar).

With the 2010 release of their self-titled album, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, the outstanding reviews started rolling in. The album made Best of 2010 lists from coast to coast and continues to be in heavy rotation on radio and internet stations world wide. A year later, in 2011, Frank’s debut album was still at the top of the bluegrass and root’s music charts! As David Magee of the Bluegrass Special put it Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen is “… bound for greater glory.”

True to form, Frank Solivan was picked for the brand-new Putumayo compilation, Bluegrass, where his bluegrass cover of Kate Wolf’s “Across the Great Divide” was made part of this international release in 2012. This year has brought even more reason to celebrate as Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen were signed by legendary Nashville record label, Compass Records. The band’s latest release On the Edge hit streets April 30th.

Be sure not to miss this spectacular show bringing FS&DK to Cambridge's Club Passim and get ready to hear the music from their incredible new album.
