    Owl City at Blue Ocean

Adam Young of Owl City burst onto the scene in 2009 with his first hit Fireflies, catching the attention of young America with his mystic music and electronic sound. In 2007 this Minnesota native started his one-man band by creating and experimenting with his music in his parent’s basement. He shared his creations with the world via Myspace and quickly gathered a loyal following. It wasn’t before long that Young’s faithful following caught the attention of some major record labels. Universal Republic had a strong interest in Young saying they “saw Owl City as representing the future of our business” and made Owl City’s label final in February of 2009.

Recently, Owl City released his latest album ‘The Midsummer Station’ in August of 2012. To hype up his new release Owl City collaborated with the newest “it” girl Carly Rae Jepsen creating the song “Good Time”, which soon became the summer anthem of 2012! You can also hear Owl City on the soundtrack of The Croods with his song “Shine Your Way” which came out this past March.

Adam Young last toured with Maroon 5 and Neon Trees in early 2013. Owl City is back on tour this summer and ready to put on a show you can't miss.
