Join us for the first Noontunes Summer Concert of the 2013 season! Trumpeter Steve Ahern and pianist Fred Boyle will present a noon-time program of jazzy, familiar up-beat tunes. The concert will take place in Fisher House, which is across the street from the Stone Church. Free-will offering. Steve Ahern was brought up in Foxboro, Massachusetts and studied Trumpet at Boston University and the New England Conservatory before attending Barrington College in Rhode Island. He is the son of Don Ahern, reknown band leader as well as Trumpeter with Les Brown. Steve has traveled extensively performing with such greats at Aretha Franklin, Manhatten Transfer, Liberace, Tito Puente, Melissa Etheridge and many others. He also had the distinction of being the opening Trumpet soloist for Tony Bennett throughout various Florida venues including Maralago, Donald Trumps Palm Beach Estate. He was with the Boca Raton Pops for 17 years. He is now with The Palm Beach Pops and The Gold Coast Jazz Society Band. “At Last”, Steve’s debut CD, has received nation wide acclaim on which he also performs the Fluglehorn and Flute. Steve’s wide range of musical styles includes Jazz, Big Band, Dixie, Rock n’ Roll, you name it, he can do it. He has performed ceremonies for several of the famous Kennedy families of Cape Cod, MA where he also summers and works. A gifted pianist and accompanist, Fred Boyle has performed with Bobby Rydell, Johnny Tillotson, Toby Beau and country legend Boots Randolph. He has toured throughout the world with Norwegian Cruise Lines as music director. He currently resides on Cape Cod MA and performs in the New England area with his trio and with such vocalists & musicians as Suede, Dane Vannatter, Shawnn Monteiro, Ann Austin, Paul Good, Bruce Abbott, Mike Dumas Band & Bart Weisman group.
