    Shira E and Home Body

Shira E is a nationally acclaimed poet, musician, and artist. A Pushcart Prize nominee who has toured the country with some of the nation’s leading performers and writers, her prolific and unique style has brought her acclaim as “one of the most original and compelling voices in performance poetry.” Her award-winning music has appeared in multiple independent films, on NPR and on national TV. She has shared stages with Ani DiFranco, TuNe-YaRds and CocoRosie. She has been independently recording and releasing her records for more than 10 years. Originally from Brookline, Massachusetts, she now lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Home Body is an artful pop duo, bringing a fresh tangibility to electronic-based music. Soaring textured sounds and frenzied glitches march with imaginative, fleshy vocal melodies riding proudly on their shoulders. Bold, gutsy, and full of glitz, the duo is magnetic to watch. Their animated performances include modern dance, creative costuming, and live light manipulation, resulting in a spectacle that amplifies their music. “Subtle and piercing...they bring a raw energy to the stage that leaves the audience begging for more.” - The Free George
