The Back Yard Bash will celebrate local art, music, food, and wine, and will further ignite Downtown Lynn's growing arts and cultural district. Admission for the event is $15 per person and includes concert and museum admission and one food ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance online through the Arts After Hours website.
Arts After Hours has teamed up with Ryan’s Smashing Life (rslblog.com) for the 3rd year in a row to bring to Lynn some of the best music coming out of the Massachusetts music scene. This year’s event features Eddie Japan and Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents. Eddie Japan, winner of the 2013 Rock and Roll Rumble, has been described as 60s baroque pop mixed with the less restrained tendencies of 80s alternative guitar bands. Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents was born out of Jenny Dee’s love for the girl group and soul sounds of the 1960s. “Both these bands have an incredible sound that transcends generations,” says Corey Jackson, Managing Director of Arts After Hours. “People will feel like they are in 2013, 1985 and 1966 all at the same time.”
The event will also feature art for sale and demonstrations by local artists in jewelry, photography, furniture and more. Admission comes with food ticket for one item at the grill of Lynn Meatland. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale all night long.
Parking is available along Union, Washington and several of the side streets in the area. The MBTA garage is located diagonally across from the Museum on Union Street and costs $4.
