    The Boston Globe/WGBH Summer Arts Weekend

    Join us this weekend in Copley Sq for free festival that brings together some of the best national and local performers to put a spotlight on the arts and all that Boston has to offer. View the official program guide here.

    JULY 26 7-10PM: Friday night's lineup features blues, bluegrass, and jazz from up-and-coming acts like the Boston-based bluegrass group Della Rae as well as established acts like New Orleans' famous Preservation Hall Jazz Band. (FREE)

    JULY 26 10:30PM: The exciting sounds of Boston Summer Arts Weekend come to the Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Copley Plaza on Friday, July 26 for our first After Dark event of the weekend. See the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Dr. John, bluegrass phenoms Della Mae, and blues newcomer Noe Socha play exclusively for the After Dark audience. (BUY TICKETS)

    JULY 27 11AM - 10PM: Saturday's Boston Summer Arts lineup features unique international musicians like Angelique Kidjo as well as musicans like Red Baraat that are making inroads into new genre blends. (FREE)

    JULY 27 10:30PM: On Saturday, the After Dark event continues, shifting across the street to the American Ballroom of Copley Westin Place. It's a great chance to see the amazing Angelique Kidjo, Red Baraat, Carlos Nunez, Session Americana, Ryan Montbleu, and many more. (BUY TICKETS)

    JULY 28 11AM - 1PM: For almost 200 years, the Handel and Haydn Society (H&H) has been bringing early music to audiences in Boston. For the Boston Summer Arts Weekend, the H&H musicians offer a cornucopia of Baroque classics during brunch with 99.5 WCRB Classical New England’s Laura Carlo, host of Baroque in Boston.     JULY 28 1PM - 6PM: The last day of Boston Summer Arts Weekend focuses on the classical music tradition. Expect a lively lineup of musicians who bring innovative spins on the genre including Boston Landmarks Orchestra and Alison Krauss as well as some surprise collaborations among groups. (FREE)
