La Pinata Mask Workshop
July 13 - July 14, 2013
For twenty years, La Piñata has been dedicated to youth and cultural/educational work around Boston. Their unique program teaches Boston youth Latin American performing arts, and in turn they share these with the community at large through interactive, educational presentations at diverse venues throughout Boston.
La Piñata, the Latin American Cultural Family Network, Inc. is based in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain, one of Boston’s most ethnically and socio-economically diverse and dynamic neighborhoods. Established in 1990 to fill the cultural void various parents noted in their children’s education, La Piñata addresses the urgent needs of minority, disadvantaged, inner-city Latino youth.
Although they were started by Latino families, for Latino youth, La Piñata currently serves disadvantaged and inner-city youth of all backgrounds.
