From Jimi Hendrix to Django Reinhardt to Jason Becker, virtuoso guitarist and singer/songwriter Joe Robinson was inspired by the best. The twenty-one year old hails from backwoods Temagog, on the mid north coast of NSW, Australia, but his six-string ability and compositional insight have already earned him a worldwide following. He was named winner of the 2008 Australia’s Got Talent television series and the Australian National Songwriting Competition at age thirteen, and released his first album of original material, Birdseed, just two years later.
Joe’s latest EP, ToeJam, features a more creative production style that he describes as his true identity as an artist. Guitar World magazine says, "Robinson's gift for high-flying picking and his unerring melodic compass have opened doors all along Nashville's famed Music Row…", while the Washington Post declares "It's not hard to imagine him rivaling the popularity of, say, John Mayer in coming years." To quote Robinson himself: “Not bad for an Australian bush kid!”
