Boston Opera Collaborative is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to providing opportunities for emerging artists – including singers, directors, conductors, and theater technicians – to bridge the gap between higher education and a career in the arts. A collaborative in every sense of the word, the young company’s artists comprise all of their administrative staff, from the executive team to the individuals who constitute each committee. Since their inaugural performance, BOC has presented seventeen fully staged productions as well as numerous concerts, scene programs, and recitals, giving performance opportunities to over 150 young artists in the greater Boston area. The Boston Globe called their recent performance of “Dead Man Walking” the most “ambitious and successful to date.
