    BOOMTOWN Festival 2013

    Presented by the Multicultural Arts Center
    FREE and open to the public

    Featuring a series of interactive visual and performing arts events structured to educate, entertain and promote creativity. Activities include outdoor music concerts, interactive dance performances, a movie screening, chalk art, recycle art workshops and more.     This year’s theme is “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”, with visual and performing arts events to spark excitement in audiences of all ages!

    Create a Chalk Art yellow brick road with chalk artist Jerrie Lyndon, or construct bottle tornados, ruby slippers and other Oz-centric elements as part of Re-cycle Art Workshops led by Bobby Brown. Enjoy music concerts that begin at 6:30 pm each night or participate in the dance events including a Hip-Hop “Move Your Body” segment, two dance workshops entitled “If Munchkins Could Dance,” and “DiverseCity” - dance concert with DJ Jay Salsa and Anara Frank from MetaMovements. The film showing of “The Wizard of Oz” will conclude the festivities on Thursday night.
