BCMS presents Mozart, Britten & Brahms

Experience an evening of giants: from the colorful harmonies, characteristically limpid melodies, and bold counterpoint of Mozart’s Duo in B-flat major for violin and viola to Britten’s Cello Sonata, written for the great cellist Rostropovich. The program concludes with the Piano Quartet in G minor which launched the Viennese public into a frenzy over the young, handsome Brahms, declaring him “Beethoven’s heir!”.

Mozart Duo for Violin and Viola in B-flat major, K. 424

Britten Cello Sonata in C major, Op. 65

Brahms Piano Quartet in G minor, Op. 25
