Flat Stanley, a student performance
August 16, 2013
Flattened like a pancake, Stanley Lambchop is suddenly very different from his family and friends, yet finds a way to celebrate and enjoy this distinction! He travels through the mail, flies like a kite, and even tricks a burglar! Based on the 1964 picture book by Jeff Brown, this hour-long musical adaptation directed by Ilyse Robbins and John O'Neil, is filled with colorful characters and delightful song and dance!
Presented by the students of WFT's Musical Theatre Intensive. This two-week intensive provides an opportunity for youngsters who have considerable training and stage experience. In this intensive, students have had a comprehensive “summer stock” experience by putting together a musical in two weeks. The emphasis is on developing the many skills needed to become a professional actor, both onstage and behind the scenes, and on the process of creating a role and a strong ensemble performance.
