Benjamin Franklin and the Parisian Salon of Madame Brillon de Jouy

In 1776, Franklin went to Paris to try and gain French support for the America war effort. One of the most important contacts he made there was not a fellow diplomat or politician, but a woman named Anne Louise Brillon de Jouy whose salon gatherings were attended by the wives of the elite. Hear the music of Franklin's Paris performed on pianoforte by Sylvia Berry in the beautiful mansion at Gore Place.
