Early Childhood Music Classes

The goal of the early childhood music curriculum is to help develop children’s musical aptitude toward lifelong enjoyment and participation in music. Children attend early childhood music class with a parent or caregiver. Infant/toddler classes are offered for children 0-3 years, and preschool classes are offered for children 3-5 years. Classes can be created upon request that cater to the strengths and needs of the participants.
Early Childhood Class Options:
l First Steps Music & Movement*
- Mixed Ages Classes (birth-3 years)
- Classes Grouped by Age:
~ Babies (birth-12-months - not yet walking)
~ Toddlers (1-2 years - walking)
~ Older Toddlers (2-3 years)
~ Older Toddlers Stay & Play (2-3 years)
l Bridging the Generations - Intergenerational Music Classes (mixed ages and senior adults)
l Music & Movement for Special Needs (2-5 years)
l Introduction to Instruments (3-5 years)
**Though general age ranges are given, class placement is determined in consultation with parent/caregiver and BMS staff/faculty for the best possible class environment for the students.
