Presented by Two Roads Performance Projects
October 12, 2013
Two Roads Performance Projects presents Dance in the Fells: Wright’s Pond, a festival of site-specific, outdoor dance at Wright’s Pond, located on Elm Street in Medford, MA, just minutes outside of Boston. Four Boston-based dance companies present new dance works in four locations around Wright’s Pond, a beach, nature preserve, and beloved “gem” of Medford. Hike, bike, or walk the wooded paths of Wright’s Pond, enjoy the fall sunshine on Wright’s Pond Beach, and experience the best in innovative contemporary dance against the backdrop of the glorious fall landscape! FREE and open to the public! Featuring new, outdoor, site-specific choreography by Brian Crabtree and Dancers, Kara Fili and Tara Weaver, Monkeyhouse, and Alli Ross, live music, and site-specific sculptures by Carolyn Lewenberg. Wright’s Pond is accessible by car via I-93 to exit 33 (Route 28 to Elm Street) and by public transportation via the #100 bus from the Wellington Square Station (Orange line). It is also accessible by bike. Parking is available in the Wright’s Pond Parking lot on Elm Street and nearby Flynn Rink Parking Lot on the corner of Elm Street and Woodland Road.
