The 2013-2014 Season concludes with an array of works to stimulate the senses. Master composer William Kraft’s third work for BMV showcases the virtues he feels set the group apart from others, particularly warmth and beauty of sound. Two beloved works from the canon of previous BMV commissions, Julie Rohwein’s atmospheric Borne on the Wind and Brian Robison’s spatial and delightfully wacky Field Guide to North American Car Alarms, paint drastically different landscapes of sound. Sean Shepherd, a rapidly rising star BMV is pleased to introduce to Greater Boston, shines in Lumens. The program also brings back Dutch composer Theo Loevendie’s sparkling Six Turkish Folk Poems.
