The Bruch, Mozart and Schumann Trios concert opens the Brookline Music School’s 90th Anniversary 2013-2014 Faculty Artist Series with Brookline Music School Faculty Leah Kosch on piano, plus special guests Yhasmin Valenzuela on clarinet and Lilit Muradyan on viola.
This year’s Faculty Artist Series will feature a colorful spectrum of musical backgrounds to include Jazz, French, Classical and more. The high level of arts education, musicianship and pedagogical experience of the faculty make the superb quality of educational offerings at Brookline Music School possible. The faculty at Brookline Music School is comprised of over sixty highly experienced music educators, most of whom also pursue active careers as performers, recording artists or composers, and hold graduate degrees or higher from the world’s most notable conservatories and universities.
Brookline Music School’s 2013-2014 Faculty Artist Series will continue with Sunday concerts at 4:00pm with the Benjamin Britten Celebration, featuring BMS Faculty Lindsay Albert, piano and special guest Heather Gallagher, mezzo-soprano on November 10; French Music: Solo, Chamber & Voice Art Songs, by BMS Faculty Greg Tolwinski, piano and special guests on December 8; the Boston Harp Trio performing works by Debussy, Beethovan and Piazolla, along with newly commissioned work by BMS Faculty Amanda Ramano, harp with special guests on flute and viola on February 9; The Music of Eddie Lang by BMS Faculty Justin Meyer, double bass and special guests on guitar and violin on March 16; and BMS Faculty Carola Emrich-Fisher, mezzo-soprano, BMS Faculty Philip Rush, viola and BMS Faculty Amy Poliakoff, flute on May 11.
