This program also includes Pavel Haas’ Study for Strings & David L. Post‘s Fantasia on a Virtual Choral for String Orchestra.

The CSO explores the powerful legacy of composers influenced by Dvorak’s generation, whose music responded to a world overtaken by war. Viktor Ullmann and Pavel Haas composed in the concentration camp at Terezin; Bela Bartok wrote his final work after fleeing his homeland of Hungary.

This concert is presented in collaboration with The Terezin Music Foundation.
