Join BOC for a musical and visual journey through one of the sexiest eras of French art. Settle into your booth, order a drink and travel back in time to the cabarets of turn-of-the-century Paris.
Let yourself be transported as the music and poetry of Debussy, Satie, Honegger, Milhaud, and their contemporaries mingle with projections from the recent Museum of Fine Arts exhibit, "The Postcard Age."
Together, they will explore the connections forged and lost between people brought together and separated while traveling. This innovative programming of French art song juxtaposed with postcard images will illuminate the full spectrum of love, lust, and loss experienced while away on holiday or far from home in battle.
Voyage à Paris opens Boston Opera Collaborative's 2013-2014 season with this unique take on the intersection of art forms. This is the first of two original productions comprising this season's Opera@OBERON series.
