Hollywood has come to the Beantown! Does the recent rise in movies being filmed in Boston bring out a secret passion for acting? Whether trying out as an extra in a Cameron Diaz box-office hit or aiming for the A-list, don’t let lack of acting experience discourage your dreams. On Saturday, October 26th, 2013 the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) invites everyone to “Break a Leg: An Intro to Acting,” a one session class designed for those looking to break into the industry. From 11:00AM to 1:00PM, instructor Kelly Fey will teach students how to approach and build a character while understanding how to work within the setting of an ensemble through a series of warm-up games, role playing and short scenes. Instructor Kelly Fey has transformed her life and others for over 15 years through the power of acting. As an actor and educator, Kelly’s mission is to foster “awareness, insight and change through the creative process of performance, teaching and coaching.” Nothing is impossible for Kelly and she has taught both individuals and groups from all different backgrounds and ages. Kelly has her graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology and recently obtained another degree in Acting while in London. Now is the time to try this once in a life time experience and discover how great acting can be!
