    Boston Furniture Workshops

    Join some of the country's leading experts for an investigation of furniture made in or around Boston from the seventeenth century through the nineteenth. Speakers include Brock Jobe from the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture, independent scholars Clark Pearce and Robert Mussey, and curators Gerald Ward, Richard Nylander, and Nancy Carlisle, among others. Enjoy a rare opportunity to explore the furniture in Historic New England's collection with the specialists who have studied it.

    These workshops are part of Four Centuries of Massachusetts Furniture, a collaborative project of Historic New England and ten other institutions that features exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, and publications to celebrate the Bay State's legacy of furniture-making. Visit
