    On October 26th, 2013, the New England Philharmonic, under the direction of Richard Pittman, will commence its 37th season presenting Boston and world premieres from contemporary composers alongside masterpieces of the symphonic tradition. This concert features works by American masters Eliot Carter and John Harbison, and includes a composition from Carl Schimmel, NEP’s Call for Scores Winner. Cellist Jan Müller-Szeraws will be featured on John Harbison’s Cello Concerto and the Boston University Trumpet Ensemble will join NEP for Leos Janacek’s Sinfonietta.

Please join us for a reception after the performance in the Tsai Performance Center lobby to meet the musicians and composers.
