    So Percussion: where (we) live

The Brooklyn-based quartet So Percussion craft inventive, seductive soundscapes pairing traditional percussion instruments with a vast array of unusual found objects. In this exploration of what and how we consider home and place, S? Percussion invites esteemed artistic colleagues to collaborate and participate in a meditative experiment of stories and music. Directed by Obie Award winner Ain Gordon (Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell), Where (we) Live includes Grey Mcmurray’s poignant, personal songs; M.C. Schmidt's quiet, quirky video meditations about home; and choreographer Emily Johnson’s secret instructions to the performers onstage. To this evocative landscape, S? Percussion weaves their composed and improvised sounds, shaping a poignant reminder of what we call home.
