    Concord Band Holiday Pops

    Celebrate the holiday season at the Concord Band's annual Holiday Pops concerts, to be held at 51 Walden St., Concord on December 13 and 14, 2013. Guest vocalist Paige Myrick will be the featured soloist on several pieces and will also lead the audience holiday sing-along.

    Celebrate the holiday season at the Concord Band's annual Holiday Pops concerts, to be held at 51 Walden St., Concord on December 13 and 14, 2013. Guest vocalist Paige Myrick will be the featured soloist on several pieces and will also lead the audience holiday sing-along.

    Paige Myrick, a native of Austin, TX is thrilled to make her Concord Band debut. She most recently joined the Toronto Summer Opera Workshop singing Die Mutter in the operatic fairy tale Hansel und Gretel. She also recently sang the role of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with The Boston Conservatory. As a young artist at the Seagle Music Colony in upstate New York she performed roles including Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro and the comedic Ms. Pooder in Thomas Pasatieri’s The Hotel Casablanca. Other roles include the Sandman in Hansel und Gretel and Une Patre inL’enfant et les Sortilèges, as well as excerpts as Magda in The Consul and Cendrillon in Cendrillon. In summer 2011 she was selected as a young artist to participate in the CoOPERAtive operatic training program. She has performed as a soloist in Haydn's Nelson Mass and Haydn's Theresienmesse with Texas Christian University, Bach's Magnificat in D and Haydn's 7 Last Words of Christ with St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and Schubert's Mass in G with The Boston Conservatory.

    The Holiday Pops concerts begin at 8:00 pm in The Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden Street in Concord. Table seating is available at $25 per person, $15 for children under 12. Ticket price includes beverages and snacks. The snow date for both nights is Sunday, December 15 at 2pm.

    The Concord Band, founded in 1959, is one of the leading community concert bands in the United States. It is well known for its innovative programming and the exceptional quality of its commissioned pieces. It presents both formal and Pops concerts throughout the year. Thousands attend its summer concerts each year at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Massachusetts.
